We are committed to making smart choices and improving our processes on all levels.  It's an endless process, and we're happy to have you be a part of it.  Feel free to contact us with ideas you think we can implement.

Sustainable futures rely on sustainable businesses.  For Recharge Class to be sustainable, we need to address all three aspects of sustainability: economic, social and environmental.  We don't get to stay a business without being financially viable, we won't have people to help if we don't consider social sustainability, and we believe we need to make sensible choices now so we can all have an environmental future worth enjoying.

Here is the reasoning behind some of our business choices and how they affect sustainability.

Materials

Silicone rubber is the main material of our tools.  It is non-toxic to deal with for both manufacture and day-to-do interactions, it can be recycled and it is from an abundant source (sand).

Silicone rubber can be tailored to be firm yet yielding, just right for our bodies.  Its non-toxic nature means it doesn't have an odd plastic smell, and is safe for use around the home.

To get all the wonderful properties described in the previous two columns, silicone comes at a price.  So our tools are more expensive than a tennis ball.  Thankfully they work a lot better and last much longer too.

Educational material

We provide all our files online, for you to read on your devices or print with your own recycled paper of choice.  At work, we print on recycled paper, reuse it and then recycle or compost it.

Our reason for being.  We want people to move better.  We believe the more information we can provide to help you use the tools, the better you can move your body.

We aim to provide as much of our educational material free for everyone.  We want it out there. Share and share alike.  

Tool design

Recharge Class tools aren't made to be a short-lived fad in today's fashionable colours that break after three uses.   We've made them to last.  We want you to keep them, to use them over and over again and love them forever. 

See above.  And to the side.  We want you to move well, and we think our tools will help you do it.  Work, play, train, recharge. 

For us to be able to continue making tools, running workshops and generally recharging people's bodies, we need to ensure we're financially sustainable.  So we will give when we can give, and we charge when we need to charge.
